How to Add a Delegate to Your GoDaddy Account
Need to let a web designer, agency, or team member manage your domain? Here's how to give them delegate access on GoDaddy — safely, in about 2 minutes, without ever sharing your password.
Step-by-step
Open your GoDaddy Delegate Access page
Sign in at godaddy.com, then go to account.godaddy.com/access ↗ (or click your name top-right → Account Settings → Delegate Access).
Click "Invite to Access"
Under People who can access my account, click Invite to Access.
Enter their name and email
Enter the name and email of the person you're granting access to (for example, your web designer or agency). Heads up: they'll need a free GoDaddy account to accept.
Choose the access level — pick "Domains Only"
Select an access level. For connecting or pointing a domain, Domains Only is the least access that does the job:
Domains Only so they can manage your domain and DNS but can't buy anything. Only pick a higher level if you want them to do more.Send the invite
Click Invite. GoDaddy emails the invitation — it expires in about two days if it isn't accepted, so let them know it's coming.
They accept the invite — done
The person accepts the emailed invitation and can then manage your domain and DNS. When the work is finished, you can change or remove their access from the same page.

How do I give someone access to my GoDaddy account?
Sign in and go to account.godaddy.com/access → Invite to Access → enter their name and email → choose an access level (Domains Only for domain & DNS) → Invite.
Do I have to share my password?
No. Delegate access gives them their own login through an email invitation. You never share your password, and you can remove or change their access anytime.
Which access level should I give my web designer or agency?
Choose Domains Only — it covers managing your domains and DNS with no purchasing ability, which is what's needed to connect or point your domain. Use Products & Domains only if they need to manage other products too, and avoid the purchase levels unless you want them buying on your account.
Does the invite expire?
Yes — a pending delegate invite expires in about 48–72 hours, and the person needs a (free) GoDaddy account to accept it.
How do I remove a delegate later?
Return to account.godaddy.com/access, find them under People who can access my account, and change or remove their access.
