Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Capers Ventures website, its content, and the services offered through it ("Services"). Capers Ventures is owned and operated by Paris Capers, based in Eastern North Carolina (Sneads Ferry, NC). In these Terms, "Capers Ventures," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Capers Ventures; "you" and "your" refer to the person or entity accessing the site or purchasing a service.

Please read these Terms carefully. By using this site or purchasing any Service, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using this website, creating an account, or purchasing any product or service from Capers Ventures, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or purchase the Services.

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.

2. Description of Services

Capers Ventures helps local and service-based businesses build customer-acquisition systems. Our offerings include:

  • AI Readiness Audit ($27) — a one-time paid assessment of a business's current marketing and lead-handling posture, delivered as a written report.
  • 30-Day Pipeline Sprint ($497) — a fixed-scope engagement to design and stand up a lead-generation and follow-up system over approximately thirty days.
  • Growth Retainer ($297 per month) — an ongoing, month-to-month engagement to maintain, expand, and optimize the system, with no fixed minimum term unless separately agreed in writing.
  • Digital products and community access — including downloadable resources, templates, and membership in our community, "The Long Game" (skool.com/long-game).

The specific deliverables, timeline, and scope of any paid engagement are described at the point of purchase or in a separate written agreement. Where a separate written agreement and these Terms conflict, the separate agreement controls for that engagement.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Services or make a purchase. By using the site or purchasing, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Accounts

Some Services, products, or community access may require you to create an account or register with a third-party platform we use. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

5. Payment & Billing

Prices for the Services are stated at the point of purchase. By providing payment information, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge the applicable fees.

  • One-time purchases (such as the $27 AI Readiness Audit and the $497 30-Day Pipeline Sprint) are billed in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated.
  • The Growth Retainer ($297 per month) is billed monthly in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel. It is month-to-month with no minimum term unless agreed otherwise in writing. You may cancel future billing by contacting us before your next billing date; cancellation stops future charges and does not refund the current period unless required by law.

You are responsible for any applicable taxes. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or terminate the related Services. We reserve the right to change our pricing prospectively; price changes do not affect engagements already paid for.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this site and in our deliverables — including text, graphics, logos, page designs, templates, audit frameworks, scoring methods, software, and other materials — is owned by Capers Ventures or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly stated, nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

For paid engagements, you receive a license to use the specific deliverables we create for your business for your own business purposes. Our underlying frameworks, templates, methods, and tools remain our property and may be reused across clients. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense our materials, or remove proprietary notices, without our written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site or Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or networks;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site, including by introducing malware or excessive automated requests;
  • Copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer our content or systems except as permitted by law;
  • Use our Services to send spam or to violate any third party's rights.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

The site and Services may link to or rely on third-party platforms and tools (for example, payment processors, scheduling, hosting, and community platforms such as Skool). We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimers of Warranty

The site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any particular business result, revenue, or lead volume will be achieved. Marketing outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your market, offer, follow-through, and execution. Any examples or descriptions of past work are illustrative, not guarantees of future results.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capers Ventures and Paris Capers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the site or Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Capers Ventures, Paris Capers, and our affiliates and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your content or business materials, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in North Carolina have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
