How Capers Ventures collects, uses, and protects your information.

Capers Ventures ("Capers Ventures," "we," "us," or "our") is a marketing and AI consultancy founded by Paris Capers, operating out of Eastern North Carolina (Sneads Ferry). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or interact with our services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. This policy applies to our website, contact and intake forms, email communications, our booking calendar, and our paid offerings (the $27 AI Readiness Audit, the $497 30-Day Pipeline Sprint, and the $297/mo Growth Retainer). By using our site or services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Contact information you give us

When you fill out a form, book a call, buy an offer, email us, or join our community, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any details you choose to include in a message or form field. If you purchase an offer, payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor (see Third Parties below); we do not store your full card number on our systems.

Usage and analytics information

When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and how long you spend on them. We use this to understand how the site is performing and how visitors find and use it.

Cookies and pixels

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies, including the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tag and the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram). These technologies set cookies and collect identifiers that help us measure site traffic, understand which content and ads drive visits, and measure the performance of our advertising. Some of this data is shared with Google and Meta as described below. You can control cookies through your browser settings and the opt-out options listed in the Cookies and Your Choices section.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiries, messages, and form submissions.
  • To schedule and confirm calls, consultations, and bookings.
  • To deliver, support, and improve the offers you purchase (audits, sprints, retainers).
  • To send you transactional messages (receipts, booking confirmations, delivery of your audit) and, where you have opted in, marketing or community updates.
  • To measure and improve our website, content, and advertising performance through analytics and pixels.
  • To operate, secure, and maintain our systems and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Third Parties We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers who help us run the business, only as needed for them to perform their function. These include:

  • GoHighLevel — our CRM, forms, booking calendar, and email/SMS platform. Contact details and communications you send us are stored and processed here.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — the Meta Pixel and Conversions data we use to measure and target advertising. Meta may match this data to your account for ad measurement and audiences.
  • Google — Google Analytics 4 for site analytics, and related Google advertising/measurement services.
  • Stripe and Square — payment processing for our paid offers. Your payment card details are handled directly by these processors under their own security and privacy practices.
  • Skool — the platform that hosts our community, "The Long Game" (skool.com/long-game). If you join, your membership data is handled there.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, to protect our rights, safety, or property, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. Note that sharing data with advertising partners like Meta and Google for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state privacy laws; see Your Privacy Rights below for how to opt out.

4. Cookies and Your Choices

You have control over tracking technologies:

  • Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We honor GPC opt-out signals where applicable.
  • Google Analytics. You can opt out of GA4 across sites using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Ads personalization. Manage your ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
  • Meta ads. Manage ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram account settings under Ad Preferences.
  • Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP.

If you block cookies, some parts of the site may not function as intended, but you can still browse our content.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Contact and customer records are generally retained for the duration of our relationship and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics data is retained according to the default and configured retention windows of the platforms we use. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, and we work with established service providers (such as our CRM and payment processors) that maintain their own security controls. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. 7. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws. These may include the right to:

  • Know / Access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Delete — request that we delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sale/sharing — opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising (for example, via Meta and Google). You can exercise this through the cookie/ad controls above, a GPC signal, or by emailing us.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
