Email Setup Guide

How to Whitelist Our Email
(Never Miss an Important Email)

Two minutes now saves you from missing your portal login, software access, or a rebate notice later. Pick your email provider below and follow the steps.

Why this matters

The most important things we send you — your portal login, your software access, your onboarding steps, and referral rebate updates — all arrive by email. Email providers sometimes route new senders to spam or junk by mistake, which means you could miss the exact email you're waiting on in the middle of tax season.

Whitelisting (adding us to your safe senders or contacts) tells your email provider: "this sender is legit — always deliver it to my inbox." Do it once and you're set.

Add This Sender
Whitelist the exact sender address on the email you received from us — if an LWS Tax Academy email came from a different address, add that one too.

Gmail

Google Mail — web & mobile app

1. Add us to your Contacts

  1. Open an email from us. Hover over (or tap) the sender's name at the top of the email.
  2. In the pop-up card, click the "Add to contacts" icon (a person with a plus sign). That's it — Gmail treats contacts as trusted senders.

2. If an email landed in Spam — mark it "Not spam"

  1. Open your Spam folder (left sidebar — click "More" if you don't see it).
  2. Open the email from us.
  3. Click the "Not spam" button at the top of the email. Gmail moves it to your inbox and learns from it.

3. Bulletproof option — a filter that never sends us to spam

  1. In Gmail on the web, click the search options icon (the sliders) on the right side of the search bar.
  2. In the From field, enter our sender address.
  3. Click "Create filter".
  4. Check "Never send it to Spam".
  5. Click "Create filter" to save. Done — our emails now always reach your inbox.

Tip: On the Gmail mobile app you can do steps 1 and 2, but filters (step 3) can only be created on the web at gmail.com.

Apple Mail / iCloud

iPhone, iPad, Mac & iCloud.com

1. Add us to your Contacts

  1. Open an email from us in the Mail app.
  2. Tap or click the sender's name/address at the top of the email.
  3. Choose "Add to Contacts". Senders in your Contacts are treated as known and trusted.

2. If an email landed in Junk — mark it Not Junk

  1. Open your Junk folder.
  2. Open the email from us.
  3. Choose "Mark as Not Junk" (on iCloud.com and Mac a "Not Junk" button appears in the toolbar or banner — placement varies by device). The email moves to your inbox and Mail learns from it.

Tip: Doing both steps — Contacts + Not Junk — is the strongest signal you can give Apple Mail.

Yahoo Mail

Web & mobile app

1. Add us to your Contacts

  1. Open an email from us.
  2. Hover over (or tap) the sender's name at the top of the email.
  3. Choose "Add to contacts" from the pop-up (it may sit under a "..." menu on some layouts), then save. Yahoo delivers mail from contacts to your inbox.

2. If an email landed in Spam — mark it Not Spam

  1. Open your Spam folder in the left sidebar.
  2. Select or open the email from us.
  3. Click the "Not spam" button in the toolbar. The email moves back to your inbox and future emails from us are trusted more.

Tip: If you use filters in Yahoo, make sure none of them are moving our address out of your inbox (Settings → More Settings → Filters).

Outlook / Hotmail

Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live & MSN addresses

1. Add us to your Safe Senders list

  1. In Outlook on the web, click the gear icon (Settings) in the top right.
  2. Go to Mail → Junk email.
  3. Under "Safe senders and domains", click "+ Add".
  4. Enter our sender address and press Enter.
  5. Click Save. Mail from safe senders is never sent to junk.

2. If an email landed in Junk — mark it Not Junk

  1. Open your Junk Email folder.
  2. Open or select the email from us.
  3. Click "Not junk" in the toolbar (or right-click the email → "Mark as not junk"). Outlook moves it to your inbox and can add the sender to safe senders.

Tip: Adding us to your Contacts in Outlook helps too — but the Safe Senders list is the setting that guarantees inbox delivery.
